Editorial Policy
How we report and label — and what our readers should expect.
Content labelling
Every article published on Latvian AI News carries one of three labels, displayed prominently at the top of the article and on all listing pages:
- Verified — factual reporting based on identifiable sources. We make reasonable efforts to verify claims before publication. Source links are provided where available.
- Opinion — commentary and analysis representing the author's personal views. Opinion pieces do not represent the editorial position of Latvian AI News.
- Satire — fictional, humorous content intended for entertainment. Satire pieces are never designed to mislead. They carry a prominent disclaimer block.
We believe that mixing factual reporting with opinion and humour is fine — as long as the reader always knows which is which.
Independence and conflicts
We do not accept payment for favourable coverage. We do not have financial relationships with the companies we cover.
Corrections
If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the article. We do not silently edit published content.
Sources and attribution
Verified articles include a sources section listing the primary materials consulted. We link to original sources where possible.
Reader responsibility
We do our best to be accurate, transparent, and fair. But we are a small editorial team, not a regulatory body. Our reporting is journalism, not legal advice.
